Whitetail Hunting Season

The night is cold and frosty
The stars are shining bright
There's something in the air tonight
That makes the creatures weary
The sound of gunshot, will wake the dawn.

This is a verse of a song I wrote in 1982 when the only thing more important about whitetail deer hunting to me was the passion I shared with my friends and family about hunting the big trophy whitetail buck.

Here in Eastern Canada, the deer hunting season opens on the 4Th Monday in October and lasts for 4 weeks. This year, we will be allowed to hunt on Sunday too. This may give some hunters more time in the forest with their camping and hunting buddies.

I just wanted to wish you all good luck. Remember, be prepared, do your scouting, practice looking and slow down your walking.

Successful hunting depends on 20% walking, 80% looking and 1 well placed shot!
