Whitetail deer in Florida

I never thought that the wildlife I would see in Florida would be an 8 point buck whitetail deer. My wife had to hold me back from getting me into hunting mode. This trophy deer was not spooked by my presence. I used my best doe bleat call to keep this animal at the edge of the woods for a few minutes before sundown. An old Indian showed me how to bleat using my throat and lungs only. I was amazed of the size of the tracks he left for an average size buck. He finally flagged his white tail as a warning to the doe that were on the other side of the road. I'm glad I didn't have a rifle and a sharp knife with me. Barbecued venison would have been on the menu, well, maybe not, but, my instincts kicked in anyway.

I also saw two wild boars feeding on the side of the road. I have never shot boar, but I've seen lots of them being hunted on TV shows. On the drive home, I saw more deer browsing on the side of the highway. Game birds were everywhere, including wild turkeys, all seen from the comfort of the driver's seat in my motor coach.

I never hunted from a tree stand, but, I may take it up. There are sliding windows, a panoramic view, heat and beer in the fridge in my coach, the perfect tree stand! Now, if I could only find a way to make it four wheel drive!
